Lemonade Spritzer Recipe

Simple, yet elegant. That’s what I would call our lemonade spritzer. It’s basically the good old spritzer, but with added lemonade and fresh fruits. Now don’t let that scare you! It’s really easy to prepare and a guaranteed success for cocktail parties!

What Is a Spritzer?

A spritzer is a refreshing drink made with white wine and soda water that is said to originate from Austria. Some stories claim that it started in the 19th century as a way to make sparkling wine.

The name ‘Spritzer’ comes from the German word for ‘to spray’: Spritzen. This refers to diluting wine with water, which makes it a perfect refreshment without too much alcohol content. That’s exactly the reason why this is a popular summer drink in Europe!

When to Serve a Lemonade Spritzer

Since it’s so sparkly and fruity, this drink is usually served on a warm summer day. However, we must admit that we’ve made a couple of these ourselves when spring kicked in and temperatures went up in March!

This lemonade spritzer is also a good companion for brunch or lunch. When doing so, you can play around with the amount of white wine to make sure you won’t be tipsy in the afternoon ;).

Don't miss out! You can get many liquors delivered to your door from Saucey. $5 OFF your first order + free delivery with code SAS. Only valid in select states. ☺

We enjoy a good Spritzer now and then, which is why we’ve tried different kinds of Spritzers. Here are a few of our favorites; take your pick!

Lemonade Spritzer Ingredients

This sparkling summer drink consists of only a few basic ingredients. First off, you’ll need some white wine. For our spritzers, we always use dry white wine like Chardonnay or Sauvignon Blanc.

Second, you’ll need some lemonade. If you wanna cut back on the calories, feel free to use a diet lemonade. The last liquid ingredient is club soda to top up your drink.

If you like your drinks extra cold, add some ice to your glass before pouring the liquids. Finally, dress up your glass by adding a lemon slice to it.

Tips for a Refreshing Lemonade Spritzer

This bubbly drink tastes best when served ice cold, so make sure your liquid ingredients are chilled before making this drink or adding enough ice.

Feel free to play around with the wine-lemonade ratio to adjust the alcohol content to your liking.

How to Make a Lemonade Spritzer
