Aperol Grapefruit Cocktail

Appealing, fruity, and tasteful. That’s how we’d describe this Aperol grapefruit cocktail. The bittersweet herby taste of Aperol combined with the tart of the grapefruit makes a taste explosion in your mouth!

Tips for Making an Aperol Grapefruit Cocktail

  • If you do not have prosecco, you can use a sparkling white wine or even champagne instead. Just make sure they’re dry.
  • Since alcoholic drinks tend to be full of calories, we suggest you use sugar-free tonic water.

Other Drinks With Aperol

When we first started experimenting with Aperol, we quickly found out it is versatile, and the possibilities are endless. We made some more Aperol recipes for you! There is, of course, the famous classic Aperol spritz, but because Bruna and I have a sweet tooth, we wanted to try something even sweeter.

That’s how we came up with our strawberry Aperol spritz. It’s a variation to the classic spritz, with mashed strawberries and basil. Check it out!

How to Make an Aperol Grapefruit Cocktail

This Aperol Grapefruit cocktail is one of our best aperol recipes, and here’s how to make it.

Let’s start by washing the grapefruit since we’ll be using a slice in our drink later. After washing it, cut the grapefruit in half.

Grab your cocktail glass and fill it with ice. You could also use a wine glass, but we’re using round tumbler glasses. Pour the Aperol into the glass. Now add the prosecco on top of the Aperol.

Next, add the grapefruit juice. We’ve used freshly squeezed juice of one huge grapefruit. You might need more than one piece of fruit, depending on its size and juiciness. If you’re using bottled grapefruit juice, simply pour 2 ounces into the glass.

Finally, top it off with the tonic water. We can now add the thyme and grapefruit slices. They’ll not only make your drink look more beautiful, but they also add taste!

You’re all set! Sit back, kick your feet up, and enjoy your drink. Cheers!
