Mojito Mocktail Recipe

On warm summer days, we often find ourselves enjoying the sun in our backyard and craving for a refreshing drink.

A quick look at my watch tells me it’s a bit too early for a cocktail, which is where this mojito mocktail comes in! The perfect refreshment, but without alcohol.

What Is a Mocktail?

A mocktail can be described as the non-alcoholic version of a cocktail. In this case, it would be a mojito without rum. It is also called a virgin mojito.

The fact that it is alcohol-free makes it an excellent refreshment for anybody.

Tips for the Best Non Alcoholic Mojito

  • Remove the pith from the lime wedges. This will prevent your drink from having a bitter taste.
  • Place your lime wedges in the cocktail shaker with the pulp up. This way, you won’t muddle the lime peel too much, which makes your cocktail bitter.
  • The juiciest limes can be recognized by their thin, smooth skin.

Mojito Variations

Mojitos are fast and easy to make, which is why we enjoy them so much! Besides, this non-alcoholic drink is one of our best mojito recipes – we love it!

If you’re into mojitos, we’re sure you’ll love our strawberry– or mango mojito as much as we do!

We also have other non-alcoholic mojito recipes, like our mint mojito coffee. A great refreshment and caffeine fix in one!

Mint Mojito Mocktail Ingredients

Our virgin mojito consists of a few ingredients, which we’ve listed for you below.

  • 5 mint leaves. Be sure to use fresh mint leaves, as they are full of juices that give your mocktail that lovely minty taste.
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar.
  • 1/2 lime in wedges.
  • 2 oz (60 milliliters) club soda.
  • 2 oz (60 milliliters) lemon soda
  • Ice cubes or crushed ice

How to Make a Mojito Mocktail

Place the mint leaves in a cocktail shaker and place the lime wedges on top of that. Make sure that the lime pulp is facing up.

Now, add the sugar on top of the lime wedges and gently muddle the ingredients until the lime has given up all of its juice. Do not muddle too hard; otherwise, you’ll beat up the mint leaves.

Next, add the lemon soda to the cocktail shaker. Here comes the fun part: firmly put the lid on the cocktail shaker and shake it for a few seconds.

Grab a glass and fill it with ice. Pour the mixed drink into the glass and top it off with club soda.

Last but not least, garnish your glass with a slice of lemon and voila, you’re done!

Cheers!
